Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions
You will gain the knowledge, skills, and the understanding of how to administer first aid treatment to a casualty who is suffering from an anaphylactic reaction. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to successfully manage an unconscious casualty, how to administer CPR to a casualty who has stopped breathing and how to safely and competently use an AED.

Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions course syllabus includes
Have the understanding to able to assess an incident in reference too:
Conducting a scene survey
Conducting a primary survey of the casualty
Summon appropriate assistance.
Be able to administer and provide first aid to a casualty who:
is unresponsive but breathing normally
is unresponsive but NOT breathing normally
is suffering from an allergic reaction.
Be able to recognise and manage a casualty suffering from an allergic reaction in reference to:
How to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction
How to use an approved adrenaline auto-injector
3 guided learning hours (1/2 day).
Practical observations during your training day and a final multi-choice question paper at the end of your course.
Candidates who successfully pass all the practical elements of the course and pass the final multi-choice paper will be awarded an Ofqual approved QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions (RQF)
This is valid for 1 year from the date of the course, you will receive an A4 size certificate.
This qualification is aimed at those over 16 who are able to undertake the responsibilities associated with being a workplace emergency first aider. Candidates between 14-16 years can undertake the qualification, however, they should not be relied upon by employers to be a sole emergency first aider.
It is recommended that candidates have a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
This qualification is available to candidates in England.
The Qualification can be delivered in other countries however candidates should be aware that the content was developed in accordance with current UK practice.
