Activity first aid course is a very popular 2-day course with those who are involved with sports such as sports or athletic coaches, leisure centre staff, ramblers, and outdoor activities.
The first aid skills learned on day 1 are based upon Emergency First Aid at Work course which includes how to give a casualty effective CPR if they have stopped breathing, and how to use an AED (defibrillator) safely and competently.
Also, our learners will learn about how best to provide treatment for minor wounds, minor burns, and scalds, also learning as to provide effective treatment for a casualty who may be choking, having a seizure, or are in medical shock.
On day 2 our learners will gain the knowledge and skills on how best to treat minor sporting injuries and conditions such as sprains and strains, minor fractures, head injuries, spinal injuries, chest injuries, effects from hot & cold temperature changes, anaphylaxis, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, diabetes, poisoning, and bites and stings too.
